In the digital realm, we can make what is not real believable. Make belief is one aspect of this realm. Another is making what is real unbelievable.
This is where I play with digital images. I take my own photos and manipulate them—change colors, merge several photos, introduce digitally created elements—to create harmony with the familiar in the unfamiliar. My works show obvious real elements which are also obviously unreal. This is what I meant by "making what is real unbelievable."
